The popular Secret Garden Tearooms on Writtle Road in Chelmsford closed its doors on 11 March 2024 after entering liquidation.

Marek Hecko, 26, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 26 years for murdering father-of-two Adrian Ellingford, 44, who was stabbed at a Nelson Grove property in Chelmsford in July 2022.
