TOWIE star Gemma Collins reveals abusive letters and packages were sent to her Chelmsford-area home

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins has spoken about abusive letters and disturbing packages sent to her Chelmsford-area home.

The television personality discusses the incidents in her new Sky documentary series, Gemma Collins: Everything. All At Once, which began on Sky One and NOW on 15 September.

Collins has said that police became involved after letters and packages were delivered to her home. Some details were previously reported during 2025, but the new programme examines the incidents and their effect on her and her family in greater depth.

For privacy and security reasons, Chelmsford City Hub is not identifying the precise location of the property.

In the documentary, Collins reads from correspondence which she describes as abusive, threatening and deeply personal.

She says the messages contained insults about her appearance, made reference to private difficulties in her life and included language which left her feeling that she was being watched.

Collins has also spoken about packages which she says contained rat poison and dog excrement.

The identity of the person or people responsible has not been established publicly. Collins has suggested that she believes the correspondence may have come from somebody familiar with details of her life, but no individual has been named.

Police investigation discussed in documentary

Collins says police, CID and forensic officers became involved and that material was taken away for examination.

She has described preserving the letters and other items as evidence while officers investigated.

No arrest or charge connected with the reported incidents has been publicly confirmed. The allegations in the documentary are Collins’s account of what happened and no suggestion is made that any identifiable person was responsible.

New Gemma Collins documentary

Gemma Collins: Everything. All At Once is an eight-part documentary series following a particularly difficult period in Collins’s life.

The programme also covers her relationship with fiancé Rami Hawash, her hopes of becoming a mother, family difficulties and the pressures associated with more than a decade in the public eye.

The series launched on Sky One and the NOW streaming service on Tuesday 15 September.

Sky has described it as a personal portrait showing the woman behind the public personality known as “The GC”.

Collins became nationally known after joining The Only Way Is Essex in 2011.

Her early appearances showed her working as a car sales executive before she became one of the programme’s most recognisable cast members.

She appeared regularly in TOWIE until 2019 and subsequently fronted her own reality programmes, including Gemma Collins: Diva Forever and Diva on Lockdown.

TOWIE is principally associated with Brentwood, Chigwell and Loughton, but the programme has also filmed in Chelmsford and the surrounding area.

Locations credited in previous series include Spritz Social Chelmsford, AT Music Studio, Channels Brasserie and Leez Priory.
