RHS Glow Returns to Hyde Hall with Nine New Light Installations for Christmas 2026

RHS Garden Hyde Hall near Chelmsford will be transformed into a spectacular illuminated winter wonderland when RHS Glow returns from 26 November to 30 December 2026.

The popular Christmas light trail will feature nine brand-new installations for 2026, alongside a redesigned route taking visitors through parts of the gardens that have never previously been illuminated.

Families, couples and groups of friends can explore the gardens after dark, enjoying colourful light displays, interactive installations and atmospheric seasonal music.

This year's trail begins with delicate reed lights in the Birch Grove before continuing through the Winter Garden, where handcrafted living willow sculptures will form part of the display.

Visitors will also discover large-scale illuminated structures, interactive circles of colour and installations inspired by the natural world, including dandelions, beehives and underground fungal networks.

Some displays will allow visitors to influence the lights and sounds, adding an interactive element to the evening.

Festive refreshments will be available, including seasonal food and drinks, while visitors can enjoy Christmas shopping at the RHS Garden Centre and gift shop.

The event takes place on selected evenings between 26 November and 30 December, with timed entry tickets available to book in advance.

Adult tickets start from £12 for non-members and £8.50 for RHS members. Children's tickets start from £7.50 for non-members and £4.75 for members, while children under five can attend free of charge.
