Helena Romanes School Secondary and Sixth Form Closed Today After Water Supply Problem
Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow has partially closed today, Friday 25 September, because of a problem with its water supply.
The closure affects the secondary school and sixth form. The school has confirmed that its primary phase remains open as normal. It said the closure will allow essential maintenance work to take place. Essex County Council’s emergency school closures page also lists the closure as partial.
The school said secondary and sixth form students will be set work by their class teachers through Arbor. It also said it would resend login instructions for pupils who need them and provide parents with a list of educational websites if they would like additional work for their children.
Executive headteacher Ms Davis said the school would update families as soon as possible on the progress of the maintenance work. No reopening time has been announced in the school’s notice. Parents and carers should check Helena Romanes School’s latest update for any further information.
