When Is Celebrity Traitors Back — And Who's In The Cast?
The Celebrity Traitors is returning to BBC One for a second series, and after last year's record-breaking run — Alan Carr's Traitor triumph pulled in a peak audience of 15.4 million, the biggest TV moment of 2025 — anticipation for series two is arguably even higher.
When does it start?
The BBC hasn't officially confirmed a premiere date, but the cat may already be out of the bag. During a live podcast recording at London's Southbank Centre, series one star Joe Marler appeared to let slip that the new series starts on Tuesday 23rd September, prompting fellow host Richard Osman to jokingly point out that the date was "absolutely embargoed" — without actually denying it. A BBC insider declined to confirm the date on the record, but with the cast unveiled, trailers released, and autumn well underway, an official announcement is expected imminently. For context, series one launched on 8th October 2025 and ran for nine episodes over four weeks, so this year's outing — confirmed at ten episodes — would represent a slightly earlier start to the season.
Claudia Winkleman returns to host from Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, with Ed Gamble again fronting the companion podcast and after-show, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked.
